Mailbox
A standard email account that receives, sends and stores email.

Alias
An alias acts as an alternate name for a mailbox. Mail sent to the alias is routed to the mailbox associated with it.

Catchall
In addition to functioning as a regular mailbox, a catchall receives messages sent to ALL existent and non-existing addresses in the domain. Undeliverable mail that would ordinarily be bounced back to the sender is routed to the designated catchall box. It also serves as a tracking tool for all incoming mail to a domain should this tool be required.

Group Alias
A group alias is an account that forwards messages to one or more email addresses. A group alias only forwards mail; it does not store mail. The target addresses do not need to be located in the same domain as the alias.

Forward Only
A forward only account functions in the same way as a group alias. The only difference is that a forward only account can only forward mail to a single email address, while a group alias can forward mail to one or more addresses.

Forward Mailbox
A forward mailbox account receives a mail message and forwards it to another mailbox. Therefore, the mail message may be read in both mailboxes.
